The idea that economic growth and climate action are incompatible may sound hardheaded and realistic, but it’s actually a fuzzy-minded misconception. Very optimistic column by Paul Krugman. I have always hoped that investing in alternative energy sources also makes sense from an economic point of view, and Krugman points to some detailed studies such as the New Climate Economy Report that seem to support that.
