52°North, the Initiative for Geospatial Open Source Software based in Germany, has been accepted as a mentoring organization for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) again. Carson Farmer and I are jointly mentoring some of the projects around the EnviroCar community. We are looking for motivated students to work on these and the other 52°North projects.

GSoC awards $5500 stipends to accepted students for 3 months of successful open source software development. If that sounds attractive, head over to the list of projects we have open at 52°North and check out the details about the process on the 52°North blog.
